Why does this lead have two snaps?
Dual brass snaps give you maximum versatility. Clip one end to your dog's collar and the other to a tree, stake, truck anchor, or tie-out ring. For treeing, you can quickly secure your hound at the base of a tree while you work.
Is BioThane better than leather for a treeing lead?
For field use, yes. BioThane won't absorb water, won't rot, won't crack, and won't hold odor. A leather lead gets stiff and eventually breaks down in wet conditions. BioThane stays flexible even in sub-zero temperatures and cleans with a quick rinse.
